AUSTRALIAN BEECH
Appearance
Color: Heartwood is light tan to dark brown; sapwood is creamy white.
Similar in appearance to white oak, but frequently more yellow.
One of the most important hardwoods of Australia, Australian Beech is a tall tree up to 230’ in height of particularly striking appearance. Its straight trunk rises to at least half of the tree’s height. The wood is renowned for both its strength and versatility of application with attractive coloring from cream to pale brown.
